Atkinson Action Horses

Benjamin Atkinson and the Action Horse Team present ‘A Celebration of the Horse! Power and grace in the dance of dressage and the explosive airs above the ground made famous by the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.

The silent art of compassion and connection as horses perform with absolute freedom in a finale to move the soul and inspire the mind.

Cossack trick riding adds adrenaline, acrobatics & speed to this stunning show.

Showjumping

Visitors flock to the South of England show for our world-class showjumping events, and this year is no exception. We have a full programme of top-class showjumping taking place on all three days of the show. This year, showjumping will take place on all three days in the Balcombe Ring, as well as in the Ardingly Ring, where you can watch the Grand Prix spectacular, along with the International Stairway class. Plus you can see more including the Sunshine Tour qualifiers for unaffiliated showjumpers, in the Cuckfield Ring on Sunday. See our timetable for full details.

Scurry Driving Competitions

Scurry driving is a fast-paced sport where a pair of ponies pull a carriage around a course, aiming to get the fastest time. It’s certainly a must-see for visitors of all ages. Watch our competitors take part in small and large scurry heats, as well as the scurry driving championship.

Inter Hunt Relay Competition

See expert horsemanship combined with a true competitive spirit in this fast-paced event. Make sure you secure a seat early as these popular competitions always draw a crowd.

The Hounds

Take advantage of this rare opportunity to see a pack of friendly hounds and huntsmen at the Parade of Footpacks on Friday and Foxhounds on Saturday. On Sunday the Cavalcade of Foxhounds takes its turn in the spotlight.

Heavy horse displays

Admire these stunning gentle giants of the agricultural world at our heavy horse displays. After the horses have left the main ring, why not pop over to the Heavy Horse Village where you can meet the horses up close and speak with their owners?

British Army Band Catterick

The British Army Band Catterick, based in Catterick Garrison, is one of three regular army brass bands. It is part of the Royal Corps of Army Music, which provides musical support to state ceremonial, commemorative and community events throughout the UK and abroad.

Throughout the show, you’ll find them in the Army Village, where they will be providing a range of music each day. The British Army Band Catterick appear by kind permission of Major General C J Ghika CBE, General Officer Commanding London District.
