Guests of all ages (and their canine companions) will enjoy this jam-packed outing. The 2025 Autumn Show & Horse Trials will once again feature the prestigious South of England Horse Trials, affiliated with British Eventing. The Horse Trials, now in its 49th year at Ardingly, attracts leading equestrian talent.
Throughout the weekend, there will be a variety of countryside sports, displays, and ‘have-a-go’ activities, all aimed at celebrating the joys of rural life and equestrian pursuits.

What can I see and do at the Autumn Show & Horse Trials?
Visitors can watch riders compete in the showjumping, dressage, and cross-country phases. Those looking to get involved in the action can try fly casting, archery, axe throwing, and other activities. Dog lovers will be wowed by the terrier racing, long dog displays, rare breed gundogs, skilled gundog displays, and exciting scurries and dog agility in which their own dogs can participate!
The South of England Autumn Show will include traditional features such as sheep shearing, vintage agricultural machinery and a Scammell Rally, and will celebrate the harvest with competitions and showcases from local Women’s Institutes, Young Farmers’ Clubs and the South of England Honey Show, with horticulture competitions as well as the National Vegetable Society’s National Championships.
There will be farm animals, bushcraft workshops, falconry, a funfair, and much more for children to enjoy. Plus, there will be mouth-watering food and drink stalls and superb shopping opportunities.

FAQs
Our Autumn Show is held at the 150-acre South of England Showground near Ardingly, West Sussex. We’re conveniently located and easy to get to by road, rail, and even air. For more information about how to find us, and for a map of the South of England Showground, head to our visitor information page.
Each day’s events run from 9am – 5pm
Tickets will be available on the gates.
Once inside the Showground, all live entertainment, displays and many activities are included in your entry price. If you want to take part in certain activities or enjoy the fairground rides you will need to pay an additional charge. Please note that attractions and additional costs may vary each year.
You can also purchase food and drink from our street food areas or from our Food Hall to eat at the show, or bring your own picnic.

There is free of charge parking at the Showground. Parking can be on grass and uneven or wet.

Parking for visitors with a Blue Badge is provided close to the show entrances. Please follow the signs or ask a steward.
There are toilets for visitors with disabilities within the toilet blocks as well as in the Queen’s Jubilee Hall and the Norfolk Pavilion.

Dogs on leads are welcome at the show. Please do not leave your dog in your car and be aware that in hot weather the tarmac at the Showground can get very hot.
Yes. A cashpoint is available. In addition, many of the exhibitors accept card payment.
The Autumn Show & Horse Trials is a primarily outdoor event that will go ahead in all but the most extreme of weather conditions. If the ground is deemed unsuitable by the organisers of the Horse Trials, the Autumn Show will go ahead without this element. Tickets are not refundable if elements of the show are not held due to bad weather.

The Showground Shop, a fully-stocked convenience store, will be open throughout the show. They have snacks, cold drinks, confectionery and crisps as well as daily essentials (like bread, milk, bacon & eggs), groceries, toiletries, over-the-counter meds, pet stuff, cigarettes, newspapers and those ‘just-in-case’ items like safety pins or batteries.
