Other Grants, Bursaries & Awards

As part of our charitable remit to support agricultural education and countryside learning we consider other applications for grants or bursaries that sit outside of our land-based skills and qualifications, and college funding programmes. This includes funding assistance and bursaries for agriculture students at land-based colleges and grants for individuals, schools, Young Farmers Clubs,  and other groups or charities for land-based projects such as allotments, trips, equipment and more.

The Society bestows annually our Award of Honour and Long Service Awards at the South of England Show.  The Award of Honour is given to an outstanding agriculturalist from the counties in our region. One county from Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex is covered annually in turn. Long Service Awards are presented to employees of farmers and landowners (who are Members of the Society) who have completed a minimum of 30 years’ continuous service (war services excepted).

If you’ve got a project you think we could support or a nomination for one of our awards please get in touch with our Charity Support Administrator at education@seas.org.uk.
