Grants for land-based skills & qualifications
The South of England Agricultural Society provides training grants for people in the South East who are working in a land-based industry to undertake training.
Grants can be provided for a wide range of skills, such as crop spraying, chainsaw use, sheep shearing and first aid. Grants can also be used by people who are looking to develop their management or business skills.
Who are the grants for?
Grants are available for people of any age living, working or training in the South East* who require certain skills, certifications or qualifications to progress their career in a land-based industry.**
Grant recipients are required to engage with the South of England Agricultural Society. This can be in a variety of ways. For example, by becoming a member, helping at Society shows, or providing information on your training, which can be used as an example to encourage other potential candidates to apply.
* South East is defined as: Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex
**Land-based industries include agriculture and allied industries, animal husbandry, horticulture, forestry, arboriculture, apiculture, viticulture, fishing, gamekeeping, land management and equine.
