Discover the history and traditions of the South East with our exciting heritage displays and demonstrations taking place across all three days of the Show.
Medieval Re-Enactment Zone
Come and see warriors of old with their weapons and armour, travelling blacksmiths and carpenters and even cooking demonstrations. This fascinating zone is jam-packed with fun, historical stands that the whole family is sure to love. There is also a daily timetable of battle re-enactments: 10.45am Saxons & Vikings, 11.30am Knights, 3pm Champion of Champions.

Weald & Downland Museum
Meet the team from this wonderful independent living museum, who have a collection of over 50 historic buildings from the Saxon era to the early 20th century. As part of their work to demonstrate and share skills, crafts, and stories of rural life in the South East, they’ll be doing demonstrations of a range of traditional trades.

British Army
The British Army will be in attendance with an Army village highlighting aspects of its varied roles. There will be Corps Engagement Teams representing the Royal Armoured Corps, Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, and Army Medical Services. Additionally, there will be interactive activities demonstrating Courage (Climbing Wall), Confidence (BATAK machines) and Resilience, just some of the qualities that are enforced within the Army.

Emergency Services
Talk to the Emergency Services including Sussex Safer Roads, Sussex Police, West Sussex Fire & Rescue, and the Animal Rescue Team.

South Eastern Vintage Agricultural Club
Find tractors, implements and farm machines displaying the labour that went in to farming in the past. Timetable:
10.30 – Harvest Demonstration
11.30 – Tug of War – Humans against the power of the Tractor
13.30 – Grand Tractor ParadeÂ
14.30 – Steam Engine ParadeÂ

NEW! Portsmouth Model Boat Club
Have a go at operating model boats from yachts to steam powered boats with Portsmouth model boat club.
The club was formed just over one hundred years ago and was called the Model
Steam Boat Club. At that time Steam was the only practical power used in model boats.
